Do I need a visa to travel to Rwanda?

Yes. Each person travelling on an Australian passport requires a visa to travel to Rwanda.

What types of visas are available for Australian passport holders?

  1. A single entry visa (Validity: 15 days) (Cost: US$30 upon arrival in Rwanda)
  2. Single-entry transit visa (Validity: 2 days) (Cost: US$30 upon arrival in Rwanda)
  3. Single-entry, renewable Tourist or Visitor visa (Validity: 3 months) (Cost: US$30 upon arrival in Rwanda)
  4. Cost of renewing a Tourist/Visitor visa: 25,000 RwF, approximately US$30
  5. Multiple-entry Resident visa (Business or Working) (Validity: 2 years) (Cost: 200,000 RwF, approximately US$450 upon arrival in Rwanda)
  6. Multiple-entry Permanent visa (Validity: indefinite duration) (Cost: 200,000 RwF, approximately US$450 upon arrival in Rwanda)
