

How to complete the online Visa form
Individuals traveling must apply for an "Entry Letter" to travel to Rwanda. The instructions to apply for your "Entry Letter" are below. The letter will be emailed to you by the Department of Migration in Rwanda. Print at least two (2) copies of the letter to take with you when you travel. Upon entering Rwanda, you present the letter and USD$60 - the Visa is then issued.
Please note that Visa requests are not processed in Australia.
Entry Letter / Visa Instructions
- Go to www.migration.gov.rw
- Select "English" option
- Select "Public Forms" from the tab options across the top
- Select "Single Entry Visa" option
- You are now on the Entry Visa page - complete the form. Please note the following to ensure that your Visa application is received and processed.
a. Proposed entry point: select the point of entry from the POP-UP MAP - do not type the point of entry into the field
b. Support Documents - Invitation Letter: this section asks you to attach supporting document / "invitation letter" - please upload your itinerary and/or flight details in PDF format. You MUST ATTACH documentation at this stage or the visa request will not be processed - You will know you have successfully submitted the application when you receive a "Tracking Number" starting with RWA. If you do not receive this number on the next screen after you submit the application, you have not completed the form correctly
- Your application is then sent to the Migration Department in Rwanda (VISA REQUESTS ARE NOT PROCESSED IN AUSTRALIA)
- You should receive a response - via email - in approximately two (2) working days with an "Invitation Letter" attached
- You will need to print out at least two (2) copies of this "Invitation Letter" and take them with you. The "Invitation Letter" is presented upon your arrival in Rwanda, and this is when the Visa is issued
- The cost of USD$60 is to be paid upon arrival/issue of Visa in Rwanda
